Q: I didn’t win an award for my project that I really wanted. Now I am upset with myself because I keep on thinking of other stuff I could have done. Help!!!
A: I used to worry so much that if I found my mind NOT worrying, I would worry that I wasn't worrying.
It is easy to keep thinking and analyzing what we did, what we didn't do and what we could have done.
But since we can’t change the past, thinking about it over and over again becomes very frustrating. We need to look for a way to replace these negative frustrating thoughts with exciting, UPowering thoughts.
One way to do this is to write down all the ways you could have improved your work. Use this list for the next project(s) you have. Now that you have a list of improvements you can become excited to apply them to your next project.
